Willa, I love your gardening blog, very interesting to follow you in this way . You have a really mild climate , you have outside the house many plants we have inside. Gardening is very nice , especially to see plants growing, always a surprise. Hugs. Jeanne
I am a long time sewist. I used to play with my grandma's treadle and I used to make "doll clothes" and then at 14 I took the mandatory sewing and cooking classes in Home Economics. My mom said if I made my clothes I could have 20 outfits to start school and I never looked back. I made 30 outfits that summer. I went to school for over a month without wearing the same outfit. That was way fun for this clothes horse. I later happened onto the art of crazyquilting from a hotel sales manager. (I was an event planner at the time as a component of my job.) She taught me how to do a crazyquilted vest front over lunch at the rest is history. I searched out crazyquilting on the web some years later and found the Quiltropolis Internet group and my life was forever changed. I met countless women(and a few men) of like mind and have traveled cross country and to Europe in pursuit of this insane creative hobby. More recently, I have taken up to planting growing things... my mommy's passion. It's pretty fun but I am not as good at it as I am sewing! Visit me from time to time and leave a note, wouldja? just wanna be loved.. is that so wrong?? Other blog at www.incidentalgardener@blogspot.com
